News and Events
May saw Revolution Recording presenting a paper on Intelligent Audio for Games at the 120th AES International Convention in Paris. Despite technical difficulties including broken laptops and lost posters, the paper proved very popular with both visitors and other game audio authors. Free Radical Design (who employ Revolution Recording's Chief Engineer Col Walder as an Audio Programmer) have revealed their newest project, a first person shooter targeted at next-gen consoles and pc called Haze, at the E3 games show in Las Vegas. Haze is set in a future where the military is outsourced to an uber-corporation known as Mantel which develops, amongst other things, a mysterious drug knwn as Nectar.
